CAN STARLA
Interior designers at Studio Spice, were looking to furnish the interior of Can Starla, a luxurious, high-spec but eco-conscious house, developed by Ibiza Designs on the island of Ibiza. The house is finished with natural materials and elegant fixtures and fittings and has a relaxed Mediterranean entertaining vibe. The designers were looking for pops of colour to soften the house and when the design team came across Jay & Co it was immediately clear how well their upcycled pieces fit perfectly with the spirit of this house.
"In a project of this scale it can feel like the sourcing of new items is endless. It feels great to know that some pieces have been re-imagined for this house rather than everything being brand new, with all the environmental baggage that can carry. Jay and Jo and the team were fantastic with advice on fabrics and chair comfort, the fabric sampling service was very fast and they managed a record-breaking upholstery turnaround time, with the order leaving on time to arrive on site in Ibiza for exactly when we needed. We love that we could present our client the concept of bespoke one-off pieces that already held their own story and then tailor them to the specific needs and aesthetic of this house. Unquestionably these pieces lifted and perfected the overall design scheme and made it unlike any other interior on the island."
