Rare Robin Day Hillestak Chair

Rare Robin Day Hillestak Chair

The Hille furniture company was started in east London in 1906. In 1949 they recruited new design talent Robin Day, giving him carte blanche to revolutionize low cost furniture.

Robin Day was an iconic British industrial designer, best known for his injection-moulded polypropylene stacking chairs. He rose to prominence in 1951 when he came up with the seating for the Festival of Britain.
