Thank You Part 2
The other day I received a couple of texts that really, Stopped me in my tracks and made me Think, Smile, Feel Proud, Feel Warm inside and of course Reply. :-)
I want to share them with you
From My 28year old Son
“Thank You Dad We Come Far! I'm proud of you same way, I've always looked up to you from when I was born till today dad you showed and taught me a lot, and still are showing me the way thank you again for everything. I Love you now and forever
Family ❤️ “
I was and still am buzzing when I read this.
From a Lady I Mentor
“Hi Jay, hope all is good with you. You seem as busy as ever!!! Just wanted to let you know that I am (next week) putting a tender in for a gallery space in ………., it’s in a really cool listed building with lots of potential. Won’t know if I’ve been successful for a while so fingers crossed, it’s all a bit pie in the sky at the moment! But there is no way even a year ago I would have felt confident enough to even take on the process of tendering etc. So I just wanted to say thank you to you, for lighting a fire under my arse, being honest and making me confront some home truths!!!
You have given me great inspiration, whether you know it or not.
You are one of the good ones Jay 🙏🏻 “
OK, back to the blog, when was the last time someone said thank you to you, really showed their appreciation and WOW just how much did you smile and how much warmth did you feel inside.
Wheather it’s an old school letter of a modern day form of communication like email or text a thank you is a thank you and they all count.
Now while I don’t give or help to receive, when you do receive a thank you, boy does it feel good.
As some of you know I am partial to writing a letter because it takes time, effort and thought and as letters are rarely sent these days it feels extra special.
But I will always make the time and effort to thank those who have helped me. Sharing the love some may say generates a feel good factor.
So my intention in this blog is to do just that. So I will start by thanking all of you for your support, comments and interactions. In turn I would like you to reach out to a friend, family member or colleague, who May just be seen to be doing their duty or for filling their role. To say thank you because you will make them feel good by recognising what they do and showing your appreciation.
Oh yeah, don’t worry I have said thank you to my Son and the lady I helped move forward.
Without the help of others no one person can succeed. Showing appreciation will definitely bring a smile to someone’s face. In turn this could well set a chain reaction of appreciation.
Enjoy spreading the love xx
