Life Can ......

Sometimes life can surprise you and gives you something you didn’t even realise you needed.

When you are a creative it’s SO important to stay motivated and this can be so hard when you have a demanding work schedule.

I am very fortunate to be living in the West Midlands, an area that has a long tradition in manufacturing.  Not too far from me is a town called Stourbridge and Jamie (a twitter friend) told me that this weekend there was an event called The Festival of Glass.  I instantly knew I needed to make a beeline for this display of creativity.  As a Maker i always truly admire the products that other Makers are able to create.

Glass is one of the most fragile materials to work with and if you have the skill, patience and determination to work with it the results can be a timeless classic with it’s beauty being in it’s vulnerability

I would like to say a big thank you to The Festival of Glass, the Makers I met and also my very dear friend John (from The Finishing Room) for inspiring me on a lazy Sunday. Plus these guys have inspired me and given me an idea that I can’t wait to get started. ( well I best get my real work started first)!). As time is short I am going to continue in pictures but what I will finish in saying is that you MUST get along there yourself.
